Green crack

Tonight speedlimeand I have been making holly cookies. To further the cause of disgusting unhealthiness, I will post the recipe.

These cookies are convenient because they require a stove but no oven. They're a variation on the Rice-Krispy-treat theme, and often end up looking more like big green amoebas than leaves of holly. Speedy took a bunch of them to work last Christmas; initial cries of "What are those?! They look absolutely disgusting!" gave way to crunching noises and pleas for more.

So JK Rowling has put up a little Flash game on her website whereby you can guess the title of the seventh (and last) Harry Potter book.

...and all hell breaks loose on MetaFilter. It's worth scrolling down for the wide, wide range of alternative titles suggested by those snarky MeFites.

Meanwhile, Turkmenbashi is dead and MonkeyFilter, which had been following the dictator's progress almost since its creation, will sort of miss him. However, one less dictator in the world is inarguably a Good Thing.

Also, that crafty speedlime has posted a tale of cookie-making craziness to MoFi. She's buried her comment waaaaay at the end of a really long thread so we wouldn't find it. HAHAHA PWND.
