Ah yes - the cowbells. By the end of my first Leipzig the continuous tinkling was driving me nuts, but by the second I'd come to realise that it was a useful way of finding places when you were lost as you just needed to follow the sound ;)

They're very demanding when they chat you up - with me they generally try to buy me a drink before they knock me over the head and drag me to their cave, but they never ask - it's always "I buy you a drink" and then they just do it. It's either that they don't understand the concept of no/yes or that they could never imagine that a woman wouldn't want to do everything they say.
