To Oxford, to Oxford
Oct. 26th, 2006 10:24 pm...which frankly isn't going to know what hit it, after Sunday. I've sorted out what I'm wearing, printed out a programme and am off-book for all the songs, because I hate lieder recitals where you pay £15 to watch someone read. I've got a bunch of chocolates for the audience in the interval. (Come hear me, I'll treat you right!)
A friend's kindly volunteered to MiniDisc the whole affair, and once I've got it on CD, anyone who wants a recording can have one. So I'll be singing for those who turn up Sunday, but also for all of you, yea, even ye lucky bastards who are at Whitby.
So: have a great Whitby, those who are going! Those who aren't, have a great weekend! And if you're coming to my concert, be prepared for chocolate (and probably even a hug, I'll be so pathetically grateful.)
Meanwhile, to get you in the Halloween spirit, here's a link to my latest blueyonder column: Superstition on the 'net. See you on the other side.
