Feb. 1st, 2007 08:18 amIt's hard to write a goodbye to Molly Ivins, the fiery and funny Texan columnist who's been a gadfly to the political bulls of our era. She was an amazing writer, and her absence will delight abusers of power as it saddens lovers of wit.
A farewell by her editor here; archive of her columns here. Some punchy quotes here; her own comments on dealing with breast cancer here: "Having breast cancer is massive amounts of no fun. First they mutilate you; then they poison you; then they burn you. I have been on blind dates better than that."
Goddammit.
