Why does it hurt when I beer?

velvetdahlia has an excellent beer blog.
From my recent trip to the US, I brought her back a beer brewed to commemmorate the 40th anniversary of Frank Zappa's album We're Just In It For The Money.
Turns out I done a wrong, wrong thing.
It is, at present, unclear whether the Dahlia will recover fully. If she should be forced, in the flower of her youth, to enter St Theakston's Home For The Prematurely Beer-Enfeebled, then I do not know how I will atone.
