Friends, Romans, countrypersons

France was good, and today is a good day to tell you about this. So: come one, come all!

This is a concert performance-- that is, it'll be in evening dress, using scores (though I hope to be off book.) Still, there will be interaction and we will tell the story (which is quite a fun one, involving Cleopatra.) The score has many amazing Handelian moments, both of rapid-fire awesomeness and lyrical beauty.

Plus, I get to be emperor of the world for once in my life. Cool, eh?
Hope to see you there!

The poster is STRIKING! Sets a bit of a tone, dunnit?

I always get an uncontrollable urge to sing "V'adoro pupille" whenever I get a shot of Novocaine at the dentist's. Some songs are funnier than others when you can't form r's and l's.

Thank you! [livejournal.com profile] moonwolf does good work.

Your dentist is lucky to benefit from your dulcet tones!

Poopsnot! I wish I could come over to see you. There better be video of this performance!!! And what's this I hear about you cutting your hair?

p.s. My parents will be in London at some point in October and they would like to take you to tea. Can I give them your number?

Video: we'll try. (By the way, do we have a recording of that concert in DC with Peter? Because if we did that would be fabulous.)

Tea: Yes of course. Do you know when they'll be around?

Period instruments or modern?

Don't know for sure, but am guessing modern. Shame!
