Things not to wear at DragonCon if you want to stand out from the crowd:

Faerie wings
Elf ears
Vampire fangs
Klingon forehead wrinkles
Black T-shirt with something clever written on it
Poorly fitting corset (esp. if resulting in "muffin tits")
Not enough

I hope you are documenting this! I need some photographic evidence!

And I miss you--

I want to see pics too! I know what you mean about the corsets tho... four tits is never atractive! Although I always get even more annoyed with thw people who wear corsets upsidedown/back to front!

yes, the 'not enough' was especially scary at times.

Now I'm totally for challenging the idea that only skinny chicks are attractive - I mean look how bloody incredible [livejournal.com profile] speedlime looked in her tribal gear (I was staring like a lovestruck doe she looked so radiant and powerful). But there is also the idea that 'less is more' and in the clothing stakes less is often a Really Bad Mistake for both the skinny and the ample - if for no other reason that where is the sense of mystery and tease if everything is held out on a plate.

(I was having some kind of Attack of the Body Image Monsters and decided not to go out in my girdle, corset and stockings dancing combo but given the total lack of self awarness of many attendees I would have not have caused people to run screaming from my cellulite, I just wouldn't have felt comfortable in myself)

The gil in a duct tape bra and mini; oh my dear lord...but the half naked where getting an arse ton of attention. I would argue I would rather not that attention as it is an easy mark, and objectifying, but that's just me.
